Our Services

OUR

SERVICES

At Priest River Ministries, women who seek help have situations that vary vastly. We often help with something as simple as baby formula or provide the learning lab for a court case, but we also see women in crisis, needing a safe place, who need to start over from the bottom up.  Sometimes women need more than a quick overnight stay in a shelter; they need to work on putting their entire lives back together, and we can help with that.

MARTHA'S PLACE

What began as serving snacks to elementary school children walking home after school several years ago, moved into filling a need in the local community to provide sandwiches, snacks and water in the summer.  PRM feeds an average of 48 children per day during the summer school break.

Known locally as “The Snack Shack,” it was named after Jesus’ friend Martha, and it began with a grant from the Avista Foundation.  Lake City Church donated the remaining funds and the food needed in order to officially open Martha’s Place.  Although Martha’s Place was built and designed for Spirit Lake children, everyone is welcome to stop by to grab a lunch or a cold bottle of water, sit and visit, or take it on the way to the park or lake.
